Fantasy MMA League In 2012?

PostPosted by #Foxxc# » Tue Oct 04, 2011 10:08 am

Alright guys, we have AFW so I was seeing if anyone was interested in doing an MMA version, well UFC version I guess. beginning next year.

Really this is a show of hands type of thread to see if there is gonna be more than two people involved because if that's the case it would be quite pointless.

After little thought being placed into this I figured this for a basic outline.

Each person picks a team of ten fighters.
Remaining fighters stay in a free agent pool that will be added to when UFC acquired new talent and removed from when released
Any person can trade from their stable to get any free agent fighter or trades between players permitted
X amount of points for a victory
X amount of points for fight bonus
Double points for a title fight

Feedback on points and such welcome.

Anyone keen?

I think the main events should garner big points to make it worth holding onto certain people. Otherwise you're just going to get people filling up their rosters with all the undercard guys, just to get points.

Essentially, you'll have to make the rules very clever to make this work, I think.

I'll play. :D

Alright, how about.

3 points if your fighter is in main event
2 points if your fighter is on the main card
0 points if your fighter is in a preliminary bout

That'd make good sense to me. I'd make the mains 5 points though to make your main picks more weighty.
